Regular Programs:
Foot Clinics:
Foot clinics are held the 1st Tuesday of each month, sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary Yukon Order of Pioneers and held at the Golden Age Society. Starting in September and running until June. The foot clinics are open to all Yukon seniors. There is a Public Health Nurse in attendance.
Bowling:
Bowling is once per week, starting in September and running until April annually. Bowling is open to all Yukon seniors 55 years of age and older. We bowl every Tuesday at 1:00 pm. The cost is $ 3.00 for 2 games. Bowling is sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary Yukon Order of Pioneers. This is an opportunity for both fun and companionship.
Events:
Mr. & Mrs. Yukon
This is our annual event in February where Mr. & Mrs. Yukon for the current year are presented with their sashes and pins. At this time we invite all the previous Mr. & Mrs. Yukon's to attend the event. The can-can dancers entertain us at this function. This is always a very enjoyable evening.
Family Picnic:
Our annual family picnics are held in June with the brother Pioneers.
MV Schwatka:
Our annual Schwatka boat trip is held in July.
Bazaar:
Our bazaar is held annually in November. We have bake tables, craft tables and white elephant tables. Raffle tickets are also sold; the profits from the bazaar go towards sponsoring foot clinics, bowling and trips for seniors.
Christmas Dinner:
Our annual Christmas potluck dinner is held in December with the brother Pioneers
