ERA Canada Games Center Subsidy Policy – revised May 3, 2011

These prices are at the discretion of the ERA Board of Directors as funds permit.

This policy is in effect as of January 4, 2011, and is subject to change when the City rates increase.

Any exceptions to this policy will be reviewed by the Board of Directors on a case-by-case basis and either approved or rejected.

GENERAL Policy: For ERA sponsored Subsidies only to entrance at the Canada Games Center

1. User MUST be a paid up member of ElderActive Recreation Association and eligible for the senior rate for entrance to the Canada Games Center i.e. 60 years or older OR be disabled and 55+ years of age.

2. User pays ERA at the ERA office their portion of the applicable pass. The office will issue a letter to the member. This letter is presented to the Canada Games Center who will issue the pass and bill ElderActive Recreation Association.

3. This subsidy is meant to help seniors to be active and enjoy regularly offered activities at the Canada Games Center. Any special program fees must be paid by the user.

Policy: For ERA sponsored Punch Cards at the Canada Games Center

1. User pays $20.00 to ERA for a 10-use punch card.

2. The 10 use punch card is ONLY available once every 2-1/2 months. If more is needed, the member should purchase a monthly pass.

Policy: For ERA sponsored Monthly / yearly disabled passes at the Canada Games Center.

1. Any paid up member who wishes to purchase a monthly or yearly disabled pass to the Canada Games Center will submit the disability form to the Canada Games Center.

2. Those seniors who use a monthly "disabled" pass will pay $12.00 to ERA.

3. Any paid up member who wishes to purchase a yearly disabled pass will pay ERA the sum of $85.00. The member must also prepay to ERA the yearly dues for the year in which the pass will end. A letter of permission will be given to them by the Coordinator, to be presented to the Canada Games Center who will issue the pass.

Policy: For ERA sponsored Regular Monthly or Yearly Senior’s passes at the Canada Games Center.

Any paid up member who wishes to purchase a monthly Senior or yearly Senior pass will pay ERA the sum of $26.00 per month, or $232.00 per year. For a yearly pass, the member must also prepay to ERA the yearly dues for the year in which the pass will end. A letter of permission will be given to them by the Coordinator, to be presented to the Games Center who will issue the pass.

Information: As of Nov 2010, the subsidy is $3/week. Months would be 4.33 wks x $3 = 12.99. Years would be 52x$3=$156.00. Canada Games Center regular senior rates are - 10 Punch Pass $50.70; Monthly $39.40; yearly $394.00. Member charges are the difference rounded off.
